About Me

Hi! My name is Brenna Kirby and I am an aquatic enthusiast. You can find me in the water all year around. I have been a lifeguard since 2016 at various facilities and teach swim lessons in private and group settings. I split my time between Quincy, Massachusetts and Raleigh, North Carolina. I'm 22 years old and a senior at NC State studying English with minors in History and Political Science.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Implements aquatic rules and regulations while educating patrons of these guidelines in an effective and proactive manner, as well as executing preventative measures and maintenance to ensure safety and wellness
• Maintains a safe, inclusive environment that fosters fun, health and confidence to create a memorable experience for the community and external users
• High competence in a public speaking settings and interpersonal engagements; provides clear, productive communication to a diverse population of staff, students and families about procedure, progress and technique with an informative and helpful demeanor
• Respectful and comfortable working with all ages, experience and skill levels; strong focus in children ages 3-18
• More than five years of experience leading swim lessons ranging from one on one sessions, to classes of 20 students
